§06
colophon
A page that judges other people's rigour owes you its own workings.
- sections
- 12
- claims
- 70
- cases
- 55
- sourced
- 52/55
- Every case is sourced, and every source is checked.
- 55 cases, 52 of them carrying a link to a regulator finding, court record, official inquiry or the organisation's own published account. Every URL on this site is verified to resolve before it ships, and
just links re-checks the lot on demand. A dead citation is an unsupported claim. - Every remedy predates the failure it would have prevented.
- That is the editorial rule and the only one. If the standard arrived after the incident, the case does not belong here, because the argument is not that these were hard. It is that they were already answered.
- Content is data, not markup.
- Cases live in
cases.json and the 12 principle sections inprinciples.json. Adding a case is a data edit, which is deliberate: it keeps the format honest and stops entries growing editorial flourishes. - What is measured, and what is not.
- A first-party collector on this domain records seven fields: site, path, event type, outbound link target, scroll depth, seconds on page, viewport width. No IP address, no cookie, no identifier, no third party, nothing retained past thirty days. The one genuinely useful signal is which sources people follow, because that says which part of an argument sent somebody looking for the primary document.
- The other half.
- williamwoodstock.com is the same person and the opposite register: decisions where the engineering and the aesthetics were one decision and it went right. This side catalogues the ones that went wrong for a reason. Neither makes much sense alone.
